JOY
No one should ever underestimate the ability for
JOY
to fill all voids.
Even in the saddest, most difficult of times if you allow
JOY
to reign in your heart it is there,
even in darkness.
JOY
has an amazing ability to make any circumstance bearable.
Like the 7 days I spent in the hospital with my husband not knowing at first if he'd live.
Then not knowing if he would lose his leg.
Not knowing if he'd ever walk on his own again, or work again, or be himself again.
Or all the years (12years to be exact) of battling infertility & pregnancy loss.
Or losing loved ones, or seeing marriages of people we love fall apart.
JOY
was there, in all of it.
The explosions of
JOY
that come at happy times serve to replenish the soul completely for the times of sadness, difficulty, hurt and darkness...
We should all have
JOY.
It makes you smile from the inside out.
It greets each day with anticipation rather than trepidation.
It lifts the spirits of others.
JOY
is
powerful
For me
JOY
is a visual adjective & when I say
JOY
I see sunshine.
Even on the dreariest of days.
Intentionally there are no pictures with this post because all I want you to see is
JOY
